Four years ago life for Sophie Keech was perfect. A new start in Greece with Alekos, her boyfriend of just six weeks, removes Sophie from a mundane 9-5 job, takes her away from the difficult relationship she has with her mum, and gives her the opportunity and belief that she is finally doing something positive and exciting with her life. But a lot can change in four years. An engagement, a domineering mother-in-law to be and the reality of life in Greece not being quite what Sophie imagined, puts a strain on her relationship with Alekos. When her estranged mum is involved in an accident, it’s the perfect excuse to escape back to the UK to reassess her life and her idea of family.

PRAISE FOR THE BUTTERFLY STORM:"If you are looking for a thoroughly detailed story of relationship trials, family trials, and decisions of the heart, then The Butterfly Storm would be the perfect book." Rhonda, Chick Lit Plus."As a first book you never know what to expect. There is nothing to compare it to. I do not believe I have ever read a book like this and do not believe I will again for a long time. I most certainly will recommend this to all my friends." Charlotte Lynn, A Novel Review.INTERVIEW WITH THE AUTHORQ. What inspired The Butterfly Storm?A. The time I've spent in Greece and north Norfolk in the UK is the inspiration for the book. My husband is Greek and his family all live in Greece so I've been lucky enough to spend time there and get to see Greek relationships and family life first hand! As for Norfolk I have fond memories of Christmas and occasional summer holidays spent on my grandparent’s farm - it's a beautiful part of the country to write about and set a novel in. Q. What will appeal to readers? A. At its heart The Butterfly Storm is a love story yet it's not a typical romance. It is, however, most definitely about relationships - romantic ones as well as friendships and family relationships, in particular mothers and daughters in the main character Sophie, her estranged mother Leila and also with Sophie's mother-in-law to be, Despina. The Butterfly Storm is emotional and heartwarming women's fiction about families, relationships and love. Q. Is it part of a series?A. I originally intended it to be a stand alone novel but so many readers have asked what happens next and if there will be a follow on book I'm now working on a sequel!
